Welcome to the Let Patty Do It News and Tips Newsletter issue number 15.

Ten years ago, I decided to simplify my life. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to do. I had sold real estate in the seventies, was a professional singer for 25 years and then got a real job in corporate America. I hated it.

I knew that I like the staging part, but not the selling part of real estate, I still sing occasionally, but don’t want to try to make a living at it and the corporate jobs gave me anxiety attacks.

So started my own one person business organizing and staging homes for sale. My mantra to myself and my clients has been “Simplify, simplify, simplify”. While I truly believe in doing things simply, my life has gotten very chaotic.

My business is so successful, thanks to all of you! Eeven in a slow real estate market, people move and need staging and then need help un-packing and organizing in their new homes and I want to help them all!!! Therefore, I need to cut back on other things.

So, in an effort to regain simplicity, I will be discontinuing my newsletters. Many of you thought I already had!!!!!

There is so much information about staging, redesigning and organizing on the web, on TV, in magazines and newspapers that I am suffering from information overload!! I’m sure you are too.

I have a wonderful resource in SendOut Cards to keep in touch with you to let you know that I’m still available to help you with your organizing and/or staging needs but I will not be sending an even semi-yearly newsletter.

What I want to do is start a FAQ on my website with your questions. Just email me or call me (please remember that when I’m working with someone, I don’t answer my phone), with your questions and I will respond and put it on my website for others.

If you’re getting ready to sell your house or just ready to get rid of a lot of stuff, what will you do with it.
If you have a lot of stuff and want to go to the trouble of having a garage sale, this could be a good option for you. I’m not a big fan of garage sales, so I recommend donating to one or more of the very worthwhile charities out there.

Charities have gotten more specialized, so be sure to check on what they will and will not take.

Furniture Glides: I am offering the first of many products for sale on my website. I LOVE these!! I now give them to my staging clients as a staging gift, but sometimes one set is not enough. If you haven’t used furniture glides before, be prepared to be astounded. I can move a television armoire with TV and all the electronics that go with it, BY MYSELF, with these glides. They’re great to leave under TV Cabinets so when you get a new piece of gear, it’s easy to slide the piece out and add or replace and slide it back!

I’ve also added a link on my web site to Real Estate Colorado for some of the properties that I have currently staged. I work with wonderful realtors, who know their business and know the value of staging. Take a look—they range from owner occupied to empty.
